Bill Hamilton
Sir William "Bill" Hamilton OBE (born July 26, 1899 in Fairlie , Canterbury , New Zealand , † March 30, 1978 ) was a New Zealand engineer . He is considered the inventor of the jet boat .
Life
Hamilton attended Waihi Preparatory School in Canterbury and Christ's College in Canterbury. In the 1950s he designed the first jet boats in New Zealand. In 1947 he constructed the first ski lift on Coronet Peak .
