Bill Hooker

Bill Hooker (actually William Bruce Hooker; born March 31, 1949 ) is a retired Australian middle-distance runner , sprinter and hurdler .

At the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch in 1974 he was sixth over 800 meters and came in fourth in the 4 x 400 meter relay with the Australian team.

In 1969 he was Australian champion over 400 m and 400 m hurdles .

Bill Hooker is married to the former long jumper Erica Hooker (née Nixon ). Her son Steve Hooker is a successful pole vaulter.
