Bill Parnell

Bill Parnell (actually Comer William Parnell; born February 14, 1928 in Vancouver , † September 6, 2008 ) was a Canadian middle-distance runner .

At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 , he was eliminated over 800 m and 1500 m in the run. In 1950 he won the British Empire Games in Auckland in the mile run and won bronze over 880 yards.

In 1952 he reached the semi-finals at the Olympic Games in Helsinki over 800 m and 1500 m. At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Vancouver in 1954 , he was seventh over 880 yards and eliminated over a mile in the lead.

In 1948 he was Canadian champion over 1,500 meters, in 1951 over 880 yards and a mile.
