Billie Yorke

Adeline "Billie" Yorke (born December 19, 1910 , † December 9, 2000 ) was a British tennis player of the 1930s and five-time winner of Grand Slam tournaments .

Career

Yorke won the international French tennis championships three times in a row from 1936 to 1938 and the Wimbledon championships in women's doubles in 1937 , each time with French Simonne Mathieu as a doubles partner.

In her career record she also had a success in mixed, in 1936 with the French Marcel Bernard at Wimbledon.
