Adelino William "Billy" Gonsalves (born August 10, 1908 in Portsmouth , USA , † July 17, 1977 in Kearny , USA) was an American football player .
Gonsalves, who was active at club level from 1926 to 1952 for numerous teams, belonged to the national soccer team of the United States and took part with her both in the first soccer world championship in 1930 in Uruguay and in the same tournament in 1934 in Italy . There the striker made a total of four missions. Between 1930 and 1934 he completed six international matches for the USA, in which he scored a personal goal. Gonsalves was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame .
