The 30th Binche – Chimay – Binche 2017 was a Belgian road bike race with start and finish in Binche after 195.2 km and the turning point near Chimay . It took place on Tuesday , October 3, 2017 . It was also part of the UCI Europe Tour 2017 and classified there in category 1.1 .

The Belgian Jasper De Buyst from Lotto Soudal won the three-man sprint ahead of the Italian Matteo Trentin from Quick-Step Floors .

route

The first 130 kilometers are slightly hilly to flat. Then you reach Binche for the first time . Then four laps of 16 kilometers each were driven. The last kilometer per lap was cobblestone and was slightly uphill.

Race course

After 40 kilometers, 28 drivers pulled away from the field, including Fernando Gaviria (Colombia / Quick Step), Matteo Trentin (Italy / Quick Step) and Jasper De Buyst (Belgium / Lotto Soudal). The group was able to gain a maximum of two minutes ahead. From this large escape group, ten drivers attacked with De Buyst and Tretin, who also managed to break away. 60 kilometers to go, the lead was 1:40 minutes and this remained constant until ten kilometers to go.

In the end there was a sprint for this small leading group. De Buyst won this ahead of Trentin and ahead of Tom Devriendt (Belgium / Wanty).
