Roompot-Charles was a Dutch cycling team based in Moordrecht .
The team was founded in 2015 and registered by the Union Cycliste Internationale as the UCI Professional Continental Team . The main sponsor was the tour operator Roompot . The team was led by the manager Michael Zijlaard , the sporting director Jean-Paul van Poppel and his assistants Michael Boogerd and Erik Breukink .
The team's operating company was Orange Cycling Team , which merged with Sniper Cycling , the operator of the Vérandas Willems-Crelan team , at the end of the 2018 season . The roster for the 2019 season should consist of drivers from both teams. The goal of binding the three-time cyclocross world champion Wout Van Aert to the team failed after the Union Cycliste Internationale gave Van Aert a free hand to ride for another team despite an ongoing sniper cycling contract.
After the departure of the previous main sponsor Roompot and the unsuccessful search for a successor, the team announced the end of its activities at the end of the season at the beginning of October 2019. In its five-year history, the team's riders achieved a total of 19 victories, the most important of which was Pieter Weening's success on the 6th stage of the Tour de Suisse 2016 .
