Ivar Slik (born May 27, 1993 in Nigtevecht ) is a Dutch cyclist .

Career

Slik became the 2010 Dutch junior champion in single pursuit and scratch . In 2011 he won two stages in the international 3-stage tour and came in second overall. In addition, he won a section and the overall classification of the GP Denmark .

In the adult category, Silk and Dylan van Baarle won the UIV Cup in Rotterdam, a two-man team event . On the road , he joined the Rabobank Continental Team in the same year and was able to achieve his first success on the UCI Europe Tour by winning the prologue of the Istrian Spring Trophy . In the stage race Triptyque des Monts et Châteaux , he also achieved second place in the overall standings. He also won the one-day race Ronde van Midden-Nederland .

Silk rode at the end of the 2013 season with the UCI WorldTeam Belkin-Pro Cycling Team as a stagiaire , but received no regular contract. In 2015 and 2016 he drove for the UCI Professional Continental Team without getting any results.

In 2017 he moved to the Monkey Town Continental Team . In 2018 and 2019 he won a stage of the Tour of Fuzhou and in 2019 the prologue of the Sibiu Cycling Tour as well as a stage at Turul Romaniei .
