Dylan van Baarle (born May 21, 1992 in Voorburg ) is a Dutch cyclist .
Athletic career
Van Baarle was runner-up in the 2008 national time trial championships in the youth class and won the team time trial title . A year later he won the overall ranking of the junior race Ster van Zuid-Limburg and was successful in parts of the races Driedaagse van Axel and Trofeo Karlsberg, which were also held for juniors . He also won the silver medal at the national junior individual time trial championships. In 2010 he won again on a stage of the Driedaagse van Axel and was able to celebrate further stage successes at the Vuelta al Besaya and Liège-La Gleize .
For the 2011 season, van Baarle received a contract with the Rabobank Continental Team Profi , where he remained until 2013, and won the team time trial of the Vuelta a León with the team . In the following years he recorded numerous successes.
In 2012 and 2013 he won the Olympia's Tour , also in 2013 the U23 event of the International Tour of Thuringia . In 2014 he won the Tour of Britain and was Dutch champion with Yoeri Havik in two-man team driving on the track.
In 2015 he was third and fifth at Dwars door Vlanderen in the overall ranking of the Bayern Rundfahrt . The following year he finished the Tour of Flanders in sixth and the Tour of Britain in fifth. In 2017 he finished fourth in the Tour of Flanders .
In 2018, after five years at Cannondale Drapac , he moved to the British team Sky . After becoming the two-time Dutch U23 champion in road races and individual time trials in 2013 , he also won the national elite title in the individual time trial.
