Wouter Wippert (born August 14, 1990 in Almelo ) is a Dutch road cyclist .

Athletic career

Wouter Wippert won a stage of the Tour de Slovaquie in 2010 . The following year he won a stage of the Tour de Berlin , three stages of the Tour de la Province de Namur and a day section of the Tour de l'Avenir . At the road world championships, he took seventh place in the road race of the U23 class. In 2012 he was successful at one stage each of the Vuelta a Navarra and Le Triptyque des Monts et Châteaux . He also won the bronze medal at the U23 European Championships and finished ninth at the World Championships .

At the end of the 2012 season, Wippert drove for the UCI ProTeam Lotto Belisol as a stagiaire , for whose farm team he had been racing since 2010. After riding for the Belgian Team 3M in 2013 , he switched to the Australian Professional Continental Team Drapac Professional Cycling in 2014 . For this team he won eight stages of international tours of the UCI Oceania Tour and the UCI Asia Tour in his first year . At the beginning of 2015, he won the final stage of the UCI WorldTour race Tour Down Under in the mass sprint of the field .

In 2016 Wouter Wippert became Dutch runner-up in road racing; In the following years he won several stages in tours and in 2018 the one-day race Omloop Mandel-Leie-Schelde Meulebeke .
