Pim Ligthart (born June 16, 1988 in Hoorn ) is a Dutch track and road cyclist .
Career
Pim Ligthart won the silver medal in Madison at the junior track cycling world championships in Ghent in 2006 with Jeff Vermeulen . He was also the Dutch champions in points and scratch . The following year he won the silver medal in the points race at the U23 European Championships and with Vermeulen in the two-man team race. He also won the UIV Cup with Vermeulen - a junior competition for six-day drivers - in Munich and defended his national title in the points race. In the U23 class, he was also a natilaner master in the omnium . At the 2007/08 Track Cycling World Cup, he won the points race in Copenhagen and was fifth overall. In 2009 he won the six-day race in Apeldoorn with Robert Bartko and Léon van Bon and in 2012 with Michael Mørkøv that of Amsterdam . In 2015 he became national champion in scratch.
All-rounder Ligthart was also successful on the road: in 2011 he became Dutch road champion. In 2013 he won a stage at the Ster ZLM Toer and the following year the mountain classification from Paris – Nice . In 2015 he won the Grand Prix d'Ouverture La Marseillaise and a stage of the Vuelta a Andalucía . Until 2016 he took part in five large country tours. In 2018 he finished third on the Tour of the Fjord and in 2019 he won the Ronde van Drenthe .
