Adrianus "Adri '" Voorting (born February 15, 1931 in Haarlem , † August 1, 1961 in Bergen op Zoom ) was a Dutch cyclist .

Ari Voorting was the youngest of ten siblings, his widowed mother ran a confectionery kiosk in Haarlem. His brother Gerrit , who also became a racing driver like two other brothers, was a slave laborer in France during the war .

In 1952 Adri Voorting took part in the Olympic Games in Helsinki , in the individual road race, in the team time trial and in the team pursuit on the track , but without placing an outstanding figure. The following year he turned professional. His greatest achievement was winning the Dutch Road Championships in 1954, ahead of Wout Wagtmans and his brother Gerrit. In the same year he became the Dutch champion in the single pursuit . In 1953 and 1955 he took part in the Tour de France , but gave up both times.

In July 1961 Voorting was seriously injured in an accident with his car; he died in the hospital after six days in a coma.
