Bastiaan "Bas" Maliepaard (born April 3, 1938 in Willemstad , Curaçao ) is a former Dutch cyclist .

In 1959, Bas Maliepaard was runner-up in the world championship for amateurs in road racing, behind Täve Schur . Then he went over to the professionals. In 1960 he was Dutch road champion and third in the single pursuit on the track . In 1961 he was a second time Dutch champion in road racing.

In 1963 Maliepaard won the third stage and the points classification at the Vuelta a España and was fourth in the overall standings. He also took part in the Tour de France four times , but without much success.

After retiring from cycling, Bas Maliepaard worked for the Rijkswaterstaat and retired there. In the mid-2000s he had a tumor in his intestine and was in an artificial coma for two weeks, but was able to recover.
