Adrianus Jacobus "Janus" Braspennincx (born May 5, 1903 in Zundert , † January 7, 1977 in Breda ) was a Dutch cyclist .

Janus Braspennincx competed in the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam and won the silver medal in the team pursuit with Jan Pijnenburg , Jacobus Maas and Piet van der Horst . In the Olympic road race, he finished 27th.

In 1930 Braspennincx became Dutch road champion. In 1927 he took second place behind the German Rudolf Wolke at the Olympia's Tour . He took part in 24 six-day races and in 1932 won that of Brussels with Pijnenburg.

Braspennincx came from a racing family: his father, his uncle, his brother, his son as well as his four cousins ​​were active cyclists. Most successful was his cousin John , who was nine years his junior and was twice Dutch road champion. To distinguish it from this Janus Braspennincx was called "Ouwe Bras" (= old Bras).
