Janus Hellemons

Adrianus "Janus" Hellemons (born July 26, 1912 in Bleiswijk ; † January 14, 1999 ibid) was a Dutch cyclist .

Janus Hellemons was a professional racing driver from 1936 to 1939. In 1938 he was one of the first Dutch riders to take part in the Tour de France and was 55 th, more than five hours behind the winner, Gino Bartali , making him last and winner of the Lanterne Rouge . The outbreak of World War II ended his cycling career.
