Gregory "Lawson" Craddock (born February 20, 1992 in Houston ) is an American cyclist .
In 2008, Craddock was American champions in scratch and junior points race on the track . In the junior class he won the silver medal in the individual time trial on the road at the 2009 World Championships . In this discipline, he was third in the junior world championship in 2010 and won the national junior title in time trial and road racing .
For adults, Craddock joined the UCI Continental Team Trek-Livestrong in 2011 and won its first international elite class race for this team with a stage of the Triptyque des Monts et Châteaux . In 2014 he moved to the UCI WorldTeam Giant . He contested his first Grand Tour with the Vuelta a España in 2014 , but did not finish the race. At the Vuelta a España 2015 he was 42.
Then Craddock moved to the EF Education First-Drapac team . He received a lot of attention at the Tour de France 2018 when he broke his shoulder blade in a fall on the 1st stage and still finished the Tour de France last in the overall standings . For every stage he completed, he donated $ 100 to the Alkek Velodrome in Houston, which was flooded by Hurricane Harvey . Numerous fans joined his campaign, so that within a few days the amount of $ 45,000 was collected.
