Hans De Clercq

Hans De Clercq (born March 3, 1969 in Deinze ) is a former Belgian cyclist .

Career

De Clercq began his career in 1992 as a stagiaire at TVM before becoming a professional on Team Naessens in 1993. His greatest successes were the victory at the Classic Haribo in 2001 as well as stage wins at the Circuit Franco-Belge in 1998 and the three days of De Panne in 2001. In addition, he achieved second place in the overall standings of the Circuit Franco-Belge in 1997 and in 2001 at Kuurne– Brussels – Kuurne also took second place. De Clercq was more successful in the smaller Belgian criteria, where he was able to achieve some victories and podiums. He took part twice in the Tour de France and once in the Giro d'Italia and reached the finish line in all participations.

Hans De Clercq ended his active career in the Lotto-Domo team in 2004 and is now Sports Director at Sunweb Pro Job .
