Fritz Zbinden

Fritz Zbinden (born July 28, 1922 in Saint-Sulpice; † June 15, 1983 in Basel ) was a Swiss cyclist .

Fritz Zbinden was a professional cyclist from 1949 to 1954. In 1949 and 1951 he won the Klingnau reservoir tour , in 1950 the Tour du Lac Léman and in 1951 the Tour des Trois-Lacs . He was third in each case in 1951 in the Swiss road race championship and in 1953 in the Northwestern Switzerland Tour .

Once, in 1950 , Zbinden took part in the Tour de France and arrived in Paris carrying the Red Lantern .
