Aad van den Hoek
Aad van den Hoek (born October 14, 1951 in Dirksland ) is a former Dutch cyclist .
At the road world championships in 1971 he won the Hertog with Fedor , Adri Duyker and Frits Schür the silver medal in the team time trial . In 1972 he took part in the Olympic Games in Munich and achieved third place with Fedor de Hertog, Hennie Kuiper and Cees Priem , also in the team time trial. However, van den Hoek was in the doping control positively to Coramin tested and the team the medal revoked .
From 1974 to 1982 van den Hoek drove as a professional for TI-Raleigh . In 1975 he won the Etoile des Espoirs and in 1976 the Eight van Chaam . At the International Tour of Vitamalz in 1979 ( Tour of Germany), he was able to win the first stage and took second place in the final ranking. He also took part in the Tour de France four times , where he finished last overall in 1976 as a carrier of the Lanterne Rouge .
