Willy Kutschbach

Willy Kutschbach (born May 27, 1907 in Greiz ; † June 24, 1978 in Berlin ) was a German racing cyclist .

Willy kutschbach, member of the Berlin association "Seagull Britz" was professional racer from 1931 won to 1939. In his first year as a pro he Around Berlin , in 1933 he finished in the Championship of Zurich third and 1934 at around Cologne second place . In 1935 he was third again in Rund um Köln and won in Berlin – Cottbus – Berlin .

Kutschbach took part in the Tour de France four times between 1932 and 1935 . In the first two years he gave up, in 1934 he was 37th and in 1935 the last and holder of the Lanterne Rouge .

In the 1950s, Willy Kutschbach published several cycling books and ran a printing company and publishing house in Berlin that published books and cycling magazines.

From 1984 to 2002 the “Willy Kutschbach Memorial Race” for senior citizens was held in Berlin.
