Classic Haribo

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Classic Haribo was a French cycling race .

The one-day race , which usually had its date at the end of February and led from the French city of Uzès in the Gard department on a 200-kilometer circuit to Marseille , was held for the first time in 1994. Since the candy manufacturer Haribo stopped sponsoring at the end of the 2006 season, the continuation of the race was no longer guaranteed.

Since the introduction of the UCI Europe Tour in the 2005 season, the race has been part of this racing series and classified in category 1.1 . The Classic Haribo was also part of the Coupe de France , a series of French one-day races from 1995 to 2006 . The record winner is Jaan Kirsipuu , who won the race three times.
