The UCI WorldTour 2018 includes 37 road bike races on four continents , including the three-week tours Tour de France , Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a España ( Grand Tours ), as well as important classics , including the five monuments of cycling Milan-Sanremo , Tour of Flanders , Paris – Roubaix , Liège – Bastogne – Liège and Giro di Lombardia . The competitions will take place from January to October 2018.

The specially licensed UCI WorldTeams , who are obliged to start all races that were already on the calendar in 2016, are entitled to start. UCI Professional Continental Teams can also be invited by the respective race organizer. A national team from the host country is also eligible to participate with the approval of the Professional Cycling Council .

For the individual ranking , the world ranking points that drivers of the WorldTeams achieved in WorldTour races were added.

For the team classification , the points of all drivers of a WorldTeam plus between 500 and 25 points for the first 25 teams of the team time trial of the UCI Road World Championships 2018 .
