The biggest change compared to the previous year concerns the Vuelta. It will be held a week earlier than in 2010, which means that there will only be a four-week break between the Tour de France and the Vuelta. The reason for this is that the Road World Championships will take place in Copenhagen from September 19 to 25, 2011 and before that there must be a week without a race.
