Oliver Zaugg (born May 9, 1981 in Lachen ) is a former Swiss cyclist .

Career

Oliver Zaugg began his professional career in 2004 with the Spanish cycling team Saunier Duval-Prodir . At the Vuelta a España 2007 and 2008, the member of the German team Gerolsteiner ranked 15th and 11th, respectively.

Zaugg celebrated the greatest victory of his career in 2011 for the Luxembourg Leopard Trek team at the “ Monument of CyclingTour of Lombardy after he had broken away from the group of favorites on the last climb. In November of the same year he was voted Swiss “Cyclist of the Year”.

After the Tour of Lombardy in 2016, Zaugg ended his cycling career after the end had also been announced for his IAM Cycling team .
