Aldo Bini (born July 30, 1915 in Montemurlo , † June 16, 1993 in Prato ) was an Italian cyclist .

Career in cycling

Aldo Bini was a professional racing driver from 1934 to 1955. In 1935 and 1941 he was Italian vice-champion on the road. In 1936 he finished second behind Antonin Magne at the UCI Road World Championships in Bern .

In addition, during his more than 20-year career he won numerous important races: in 1933 he won the Giro del'Umbria , 1935 the Giro del Piemonte , 1935 the Giro dell'Emilia , in 1937 the Giro della Provincia Milano with Maurice Archambaud , 1937 (before Gino Bartali ) and in 1942 the Giro de Lombardia , in 1935 and 1945 he came second. In 1940 Bini won the Coppa Bernocchi and in 1952 the Milan – Turin race . He also won several stages at the Giro d'Italia .

In 1948 Aldo Bini finished the Giro d'Italia as the last and thus as the wearer of the black jersey . Despite a broken wrist, he had finished the Giro, had to dismount in the mountains and push his bike. At the end of his career, Bini could look back on a total of 48 wins.

Motorsport

Aldo Bini was in 1955 at the Mille Miglia as a driver at the start. The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint that was used was out of the race.
