UCI ProTour 2009

The UCI ProTour was from cycling's governing body UCI important in the years 2005-2010 organized series stage wins and one-day races of road cycling . The ProTour took place for the fifth time in 2009.

This season, however, there was no ProTour ranking of its own, but the results of the 14 races are combined with those of the three big tours Tour de France , Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a España as well as some smaller races such as Paris – Nice and Milan – Sanremo - the so-called "historical races" - combined into the UCI World Calendar 2009 with a joint ranking.

Teams

After the 2008 season, the Gerolsteiner and Crédit Agricole team broke up and were replaced by Garmin-Slipstream and Katjuscha .
