Marco Marcato (born February 11, 1984 in San Donà di Piave ) is an Italian racing cyclist .

Marco Marcato began his career in 2005 with the Italian cycling team Androni Giocattoli-3C Casalinghi . In his first year there, he was able to win one stage of the Tour of Slovenia . A year later he won part of the Vuelta a Chihuahua in Mexico. At the Grand Prix Pino Cerami he took second place and at the Rhineland-Palatinate Tour he was seventh overall. He celebrated his most important victory so far in 2012 when he won Paris – Tours after finishing second the year before.

In the course of the doping investigation by the Public Prosecutor of Padua , he was suspected of having been a customer of the controversial sports medicine specialist Michele Ferrari . In April 2014, the prosecutor announced that he was not involved in the investigation.
