Tour de Vendée

The Tour de Vendée is a French cycling race .

The one-day race , which usually has its date in May and takes place in the French Département Vendée with the finish in the city of La Roche-sur-Yon , was first held in 1972. In 1996 and 1997 the race was called the Vendée International Classic . Since the introduction of the UCI Europe Tour in the 2005 season, the race has been part of this racing series and classified in category 1.1. The Tour de Vendée is also part of the Coupe de France , a series of French one-day races. The record winner is Jaan Kirsipuu , who won the race four times.
