Christophe Laporte (born December 11, 1992 in La Seyne-sur-Mer ) is a French road cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2012 Christophe Laporte won the Tour de la Moselle , in 2013 the Tour du Canton de Saint-Ciers and a stage of the Tour de la Manche .

In 2014 Laporte received a contract with Team Cofidis . The following year he took part in one of the big tours for the first time. In the 2015 Tour de France , he was one of the youngest participants. He finished the tour as a 121. Until 2018 he started the tour every year. In 2015 and 2017 he won the Tour de Vendée .

2018 was Laportes' most successful year to date: he won one each of the Etoile de Bessèges , the Tour of Belgium and the Tour of Luxembourg . In the Tour La Provence he decided two stages and the points classification for himself and finished the Breton race Tro Bro Leon as the winner.
