Hubert Dupont (born November 13, 1980 in Lyon , France ) is a French cyclist .

Career

Dupont studied economics and started cycling at the AC Lyon Vaise club.

With a stage of the Giro Ciclistico d'Italia he won his first international competition. He then rode as a stagiaire with the R.AGT Semences cycling team , for which he received a regular contract for the 2005 season. In 2006 he switched to ag2r Prévoyance .

He celebrated his greatest success so far in the 2006 Basque Country Tour when he won the mountain classification. He then competed in the 2006 Giro d'Italia , his first Grand Tour . In the final, he finished 32nd . Dupont made his Tour de France debut in 2008 . In 2009 he finished fifth in the French road racing championships . In 2012 he finished second in the overall ranking of the Route du Sud . At the Giro d'Italia 2016 , he just missed his first top 10 place in the three-week country tours with eleventh place.
