Marc de Maar (born February 15, 1984 in Assen ) is a Dutch road cyclist .

Career

In 2004 Marc de Maar won the U23 edition of the German classic Rund um den Henninger-Turm and the following year two stages of the Olympia's Tour .

In 2010 de Maar started for the Netherlands Antilles and became two-time national champion, in the individual time trial and in the road race . After the dissolution of the Antilles state, it sailed under the flag of Curacao until 2013 . There he was two-time road champion in 2011 and 2012 and also won the gold medal in the road race at the Pan American Games , and in 2013 he won the Caribbean championship in the individual time trial. In 2014 he won a stage of the Tour of Norway and finished second in the overall ranking. In 2015 he finished second on the Tour of Luxembourg .
