Birgit Fiolka (* 1974 in Duisburg ) is a German writer . Her book topics include the historical novel, specifically Ancient Egypt , the Bronze Age and Antiquity . There is also a fantasy series by the author. Birgit Fiolka lives and works in Duisburg.

Life

Birgit Fiolka initially trained as a judicial clerk and worked in this profession for several years. In 2001 her first historical novel was published - Bint-Anat. Daughter of the Nile - about the Egyptian Queen Bintanat , a daughter of Ramses II. Birgit Fiolka has been working as a freelance writer since then. Her focus is on the Bronze Age as well as the ancient world and above all ancient Egypt. There is also a fantasy line from the author in the area of ​​mystery thrillers and epic fantasy. In 2005 Birgit Fiolka founded the art and event group Art of KaRa together with Daniela Rutica and André Elbing , which is dedicated to the scenic representation of Ancient Egypt. Since 2006 Birgit Fiolka has also been working as a make-up artist for photo, film and TV, and part-time as a speaker. She is a member of the Association of German Writers and was proposed in 2005 for the Literature Prize of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
