Birgit Rautenberg (born November 25, 1969 in Kiel ) is a German photographer .

life and work

Birgit Rautenberg studied photography with Dirk Reinartz from 1996 to 2002 at the Muthesius Kunsthochschule Kiel . Your diploma thesis “On Your Own Body. About the attempt to get closer to his ideal image. ”(A documentation about cosmetic surgery ), was awarded the BFF sponsorship award for the best diploma theses in photography in 2002.

Her artistic work is mainly located in the field of landscape photography; her work has been shown in numerous group and several solo exhibitions. Birgit Rautenberg also works as a freelance photographer in Kiel in the field of documentation , landscape and portraits . She has published in various magazines ( Neon , Geo , Börsenblatt , Fotonews , Neue Zürcher Zeitung ).

Birgit Rautenberg is married to the German writer and artist Arne Rautenberg .
