Birgit Schmid
Birgit Schmid (* 1972 in Aarau ) is a Swiss journalist and author .
Career
Schmid studied German , art history and comparative literature at the University of Zurich . In 2004 she was examined by Peter von Matt with her dissertation on the literary identity of the script using the case study Agnes von Peter Stamm . She then worked as a film critic, including for the Neue Luzerner Zeitung and as a freelance journalist for various Swiss newspapers, was deputy editor-in-chief at the magazine , before moving to the editorial office of the Neue Zürcher Zeitung in 2015 , where she is jointly responsible for the weekend association and a weekly column writes on relationships.
