The Birthday Point ( English for birthday tip ) is a massive rock cape on the Pennell coast of East Antarctica Victoria Land . On the shores of Robertson Bay , it separates Pressure Bay in the west from Berg Bay in the east.
The bay was mapped by the northern group of the Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913) led by the British polar explorer Victor Campbell (1875–1956 ). It is probably named after the birthday of one of the members of the northern group at the time of mapping. However, since this is unknown, it is no longer possible to reconstruct exactly which member it is.
