The Bisnode AB is a major European provider of digital business information and Data & Analytics in the area of B2C and B2B . The company is based in Stockholm and has subsidiaries in 19 European countries.

The portfolio includes credit reports, information about companies and consumers, as well as marketing tools and information for the general B2B and B2C market. In Germany, Bisnode merged its former subsidiaries / brands Hoppenstedt (company information , credit reports, trade magazines) and Dun & Bradstreet (creditworthiness and risk information) into the parent brand in 2013 and, according to its own statements, only operates under the Bisnode brand. Only the Hoppenstedt Aktienführer is sold under its established name.

history

Bisnode's roots go back to 1895, when the first Swedish trading calendar appeared and Bonnier started with the business model of economic and company information . Affärsdata, a company belonging to Bonnier, started publishing digital business information in 1982. The business model proved to be successful and was further expanded. As a newly founded subsidiary of Bonnier, Bonnier Business Information started expansion in the market for digital business information. In the first half of the 1990s the company expanded very strongly, not least through several takeovers. The specialization in business information was taken into account with the outsourcing and renaming of Bonnier Affärsinformationen (BAF) in 1999. In September 2005, BAF and the Ratos Group owned company Infodata merged. In March 2006 the company changes its name to Bisnode. In May 2007 the WDM group was taken over, in December 2008 the Wer hilft was? -Group. At the end of August 2009, Bisnode announced the sale of its subsidiaries in Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland to D&B UK. In 2012, the group in Germany sold the Who delivers what? Group, the ABC of German Business and the specialist magazine publisher Hoppenstedt Publishing.

In 2012, CEO Lars Pettersson began an extensive program to realign the group of companies. In all European countries, Bisnode replaced its local brands with a uniform brand identity, thereby underlining its European orientation and the group's international range of services.

In June 2015 Magnus Silfverberg, former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Betssnon company, became the new CEO of Bisnode AB.

In 2017 Bisnode acquired the full-service marketing service provider Global Group Dialog Solutions AG, which was renamed Bisnode Marketing GmbH a little later. The Global Group has been fully integrated into Bisnode Deutschland GmbH since 2019.
