The Diocese of Lavaur ( Latin Dioecesis Vaurensis ) was one in France situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Lavaur .
history
The diocese Lavaur was on July 11, 1317 by Pope John XXII. Erected from cessions of territory by the Archdiocese of Toulouse . The first bishop was Roger d'Armagnac . The diocese Lavaur was subordinate to the Archdiocese of Narbonne as a suffragan .
On November 29, 1801, the Diocese of Lavaur was dissolved as a result of the Concordate of 1801 by Pope Pius VII with the Papal Bull Qui Christi Domini and the territory was annexed to the Diocese of Montpellier .
