Diocese of Lodève
The Diocese of Lodève ( lat. : Dioecesis Lotevensis ) was one in France situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Lodève .
history
The diocese of Lodève was established in the 5th century. The first bishop was Florus . The diocese of Lodève was subordinate to the Archdiocese of Narbonne as a suffragan . It included about 50 parishes .
On November 29, 1801, the Diocese of Lodève was dissolved as a result of the Concordat of 1801 by Pope Pius VII with the Papal Bull Qui Christi Domini and the territory was annexed to the Diocese of Montpellier .
