Björn Rädel

Björn Rädel (born January 23, 1974 in Hamburg ) is a German football coach.

Rädel's own playing career was in the Hamburg amateur area. He completed a teaching degree with a combination of sports and history.

Björn Rädel completed his training as a football teacher at the German Football Association in the 2012/2013 season and is now in the 59th year of training at the DFB.

Between 2007 and 2009 Rädel worked as a selection trainer for the Hamburg Football Association , where he had previously worked as a base trainer in Steilshoop. In summer 2009 he won with his 1995 selection class at the DFB U-15 junior camp in Bad Blankenburg. Then he moved to the youth department of Hamburger SV , where he took over the 1998 class.

Since December 2009 Björn Rädel has been responsible for the ten DFB bases in Schleswig-Holstein and the three SHFV locations at the Schleswig-Holstein Football Association as DFB base coordinator.

The football teacher Björn Rädel has been an association sports teacher in the Schleswig-Holstein Football Association since August 2016 and is therefore responsible for coach training and qualification and the sporting management of the Malente sports school (Uwe Seeler-Sportpark).

At the same time, Björn Rädel started as assistant coach of his predecessor Michael Prus in the summer of 2016 at the DFB U16 Juniors. In the summer of 2017, the coaching team rotated into the next higher year. Björn Rädel has been the assistant coach of the DFB U17 Juniors since summer 2017.
