Blåskimen (from Norwegian blå 'blue' ) is a 300  m high and ice-covered island off the coast of the Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located 13 km north of the island of Nydomen at the interface between the Jelbart and Fimbul ice shelves . Apart from its north side, the island is surrounded by ice.

Norwegian cartographers made a rough mapping based on aerial photographs of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1951–1952) and the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960). The exact meaning of the name is unknown except for the syllable "blå" for "blue". A Soviet Antarctic expedition discovered in 1961 that the cartographical appropriation of the island now known as Nydomen in the land mass of the island described here by the Norwegians was wrong.
