The Black Moss Water is a watercourse in Lancashire , England . It arises at the southern end of the Rimmington Moors and flows south through the Upper Black Moss Reservoir and then the Lower Black Moss Reservoir . It then reaches the town of Barley and here changes its name to Barley Water , under which it flows into the Pendle Water .
