The Blaibacher See is a reservoir on the Schwarzen Regen between Viechtach and Cham that has existed since October 1964 and has a water surface of around 47 hectares .

At the barrage built between 1962 and 1964 is the Pulling power plant , named after the nearby Pulling district of the municipality of Blaibach . It acts as a balancing power plant for the above-lying power plant on the Höllenstein, which operates in swelling mode . Its dam is located around 5 km downstream of the Höllensteinsee dam , around river kilometer 107.5.

The lake is a popular local recreational destination and is popular with anglers, campers, bathers, hikers, cyclists and boaters. In winter, ice stock sport is also a popular sport in addition to ice skating .
