history

history

The club was founded in 1906 by Jean von Büren as the Lindenthaler Spielverein and in 1907 took on the name Köln-Lindenthaler FV 06 . In 1919, the Lindenthaler Kessel was opened as a venue, which the club would keep for many years. In 1926 the club became the SC Blau-Weiß Köln , the year was added to the 30th anniversary in 1936, so that the official club name was now SC Blau-Weiß Köln 06 eV . In 1935, Blau-Weiß merged with an association not known by name to form Blau-Weiß Siegel . A year later the merger was reversed. In 1950 VfB Grün-Weiß 06 Köln joined the blue-whites.

In 1980 the Lindenthaler Kessel was torn down and Blau-Weiß moved to the district sports facility in Deckstein. On June 25, 1984, Blau-Weiß merged with FSV Gebäudereiniger Köln to form SC Blau-Weiß Gebäudereiniger Köln . Since June 22, 1996 the club has been called SC Blau-Weiß 06 Köln eV The club 1. KFC Sülz-Klettenberg , which split off from SC Blau-Weiß in 2007 and which more or less took over the entire youth department of SC Blau-Weiß, closed for the season 2012/13 again to the club, so that the men's and youth department could report with several teams.

Men's soccer

After several years in the highest Rhenish league, Blau-Weiß rose to the Gauliga Mittelrhein in 1934. As penultimate one point behind Eintracht Trier , the team had to relegate immediately. In 1937, as district champions, the Cologne team reached the promotion round to the Gauliga again, but failed there at Alemannia Aachen . After the Second World War, in 1947 it was promoted to the then second-class Rheinbezirksliga , which was renamed the Landesliga Mittelrhein in 1950. After the descent in 1955, the rise again succeeded two years later. This time Blau-Weiß stayed in the national league until 1962.

In the meantime, the later merger partner FSV Gebäudereiniger Köln was promoted to the Mittelrhein Association League in 1978 and stayed in this class until 1984. The merger initially bore no sporting fruit, as the team was immediately passed into the district league and later even relegated to the district league. Since promotion in 2012, Blau-Weiß played in the Cologne district league A until 2014, but rose again to the district league B on the last day of the game due to the worse goal difference. Two rises in a row brought the blue-whites back to the district league in 2019.

Women's soccer

The soccer players played between 1992 and 1994 in the then second-rate Regionalliga West . In the 1994/95 season , the team took part in the DFB Cup. After a bye in the first round, the Cologne women defeated SSG Bergisch Gladbach 3-2 in round two . In the second round, however, the team failed at VfL Sindelfingen . After no women's soccer team had existed for a long time, a team was registered for the first time in the 2014/15 season that starts in the district league A.

youth

For the 2013/14 season, the SC Blau-Weiß reported an A-youth again after many years, so it has at least one team in each age group. The teams from A to G youth all play in the Cologne district class. In the 2013/14 season, the B-youth team won the Cologne District Cup for the first time in the documented 108-year history of the club.
