The Blue Bridge in Cham, also known as the pedestrian and cycle path bridge at the Floßhafen , is a pedestrian bridge in Cham in the Upper Palatinate and spans the Regen River .
history
The bridging between the core city on the right bank in the north and the open landscape on the left bank had the goal of sustainably improving the relationship between the old town of Cham and the rain and is one of 22 construction measures that were carried out in connection with the 2001 Nature Garden Show Cham - The garden show at the rainbow were carried out.
construction
superstructure
With this visually unusual segment arch bridge , the static system is actually a beam bridge spanned by bars . The bridge trough rests on two abutments and an intermediate pillar and is also attached to the pylons with two tension rods , two outer segment arches in the shape of a quarter circle. The two segment arches are designed as welded steel box profiles with a width of 0.5 m and are arranged at a center distance of 4.3 m. They are supported by two box supports each on the intermediate pillar and are connected at one end to the abutment on the left. The height of the box profile of the arches tapers towards the ends from 1.2 m to 0.5 m. The arches are connected to each other by three bolts.
With a width of 3.5 m, the trough beam has a usable width between the handrails of three meters.
Substructures
The bridge bearings are founded on bored piles. The left-hand warehouse is 1.4 m lower than the right-hand warehouse. The height design including the safety surcharge was carried out at HW 100, which is stated at the bridge location at 369.60 m above sea level.
Construction work
On the construction site, the entire construction was assembled from prefabricated sections using screw connections. The production of the parts including a multi-layer blue coating for corrosion protection was carried out in a steel construction company.
