The Bleckwand is a mountain that is located south of Lake Wolfgang in the Salzkammergut Mountains . From 1541 m above sea level A. the summit offers a good panorama that extends from the Wolfgangsee, over the rocky Sparber , the Wieslerhorn, the Pitschberg, the Windkogel, the Schafberg to the much better known Zwölferhorn .
The sheet metal wall is wooded up to the top. To the north towards Lake Wolfgang, the mountain drops sharply on a steep slope. On the bleck wall there is a summit cross that was erected by locals in 1947 as thanks for returning from Soviet captivity. The actual summit of the mountain is in the trees a little southeast of the cross.
The Bleckwandhütte Friends of Nature House is located a little west of the Bleckwand at 1340 meters . Further south are the Illighütte and the Welzlerhütte.
