Lead sulfochromate yellow is a mixture of lead (II) chromate (PbCrO 4 ) and lead (II) sulfate (PbSO 4 ). The proportion of lead chromate is around 61–76%, that of lead sulfate around 20–38%. Lead sulfochromate yellow is listed in the Color Index under CI Pigment Yellow 34: 1 and is also referred to as Chrome Yellow Light.
