Blue's Clues - Blue and smart ( Blue's Clues ) is an American television series contains for preschoolers that is both real and animated elements. It was produced by Nickelodeon from 1996 to 2006 . In Germany it ran on Nickelodeon and Super RTL .

The stars of the series are Steve (played by Steven Burns ) and his dog Blue. In each episode, Steve has to solve a tricky task with the help of three clues. It's about questions like “ What did Blue see today? "Or" Why is Blue sad today? ". When solving the respective task, he asks the children in front of the TV sets. He also receives help from other residents of the house, for example the alarm clock Tickety Tack ( Tickety ), Monsieur Salz and Madame Pfeffer ( Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper ), shovel and bucket ( Shovel and Pail ), the mailbox ( Mailbox ) and Blues girlfriend magenta ( magenta ). In 2002, Steven Burns left the series. He was succeeded by Donovan Patton, who played Steve's younger brother Joe. Steve and Joe appear together in some episodes.

In 2000 the film "Blue's Big Musical" was released. In the film, Blue is looking for a partner for a duet after the alarm clock Tickety Tack has lost its voice.
Awards
In 1998 and 1999 Blue's Clues won the “TCA Award” in the “Outstanding Achievement in Children's Programming” category. In 2002 she won the Peabody Award.
