The Blue River ( English for "Blue River") is a left tributary of the Dease River in the Stikine region in the north of the Canadian province of British Columbia .
The Blue River has its source in the Stikine Ranges . It flows in a predominantly north-northeast direction through the mountains. The British Columbia Highway 37 ( Stewart-Cassiar Highway ) crosses the river near its most northerly point. In the lower reaches it turns to the southeast and finally flows into the Dease River. The Blue River has a length of about 130 km. At the gauge near the mouth, the mean discharge is 18 m³ / s. The catchment area covers more than 1700 km².
