Bluebird Automotive is an English manufacturer of electric cars of the type Milk floats and vans .

The main product is the QEV70 series .

Records

The prototype Electron E 150 with a 150 kW engine has held the land speed record for milk floats with 72.75 miles / h since August 2003 .

With the help of the Electric Bluebird prototype , the company holds the European land speed record for electric cars at 137 miles / h.

Main product QEV70

The payload of the QEV70 small van ranges from 1.5 to 2.2 tons, depending on the body and battery weight. The curb weight is 2180 kg, the maximum weight 3820 kg and the maximum speed 28 miles / h (45 km / h).

The range on one battery charge is 40 to 100 miles (64 to 160 km), depending on the battery variant selected. The batteries can be changed to enable continuous operation.

Further development of the series

The company is developing the QEV90 models with greater power and range, and the QEV120, a light truck that is said to go 65 miles per hour (105 km / h) and have a range of 100 miles. Depending on the variant, it weighs between 7.5 and 10 tons.

Project XDV

The 4.6-meter-long and 1.85-meter-wide XDV has a maximum payload of 1.7 tons, should travel at 55 miles / h and have a range of 50 miles.
