Holland Flower Council

The Flower Council of Holland is the central marketing organization for ornamental plants in the Netherlands , the world's most important country for ornamental plant production.

It was established as a successor to the older "Association of Dutch Flower Culture" in Leiden in 1980 in the form of a foundation . Its main task is the worldwide promotion of Dutch ornamental plants. In this context, the "Flower Office Holland" also conducts market research , helps establish new trends and market niches, as well as the development of quality criteria and seals of approval, issues various specialist publications and cooperates with other national and international horticultural institutions (in Germany e.g. with the Fleurop organization and the Association of German Florists , and the various horticultural trade fairs). The activities are aimed at both retailers and end consumers . The German branch is based in Düsseldorf .
